Your SORVANA drinkware is made for everyday routines, from staying refreshed on the move to enjoying coffee at home or at work. A little regular care will help keep each bottle and mug clean, fresh and looking its best.
Before First Use
Wash your new bottle or mug before using it for the first time.
Use warm water, mild washing-up liquid and a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and allow the product to dry completely before filling it.
For bottles, wash the lid, drinking opening, seals and any removable parts separately where possible.
Everyday Cleaning
Clean your drinkware after each use, particularly after tea, coffee, flavoured drinks or any beverage containing milk or sugar.
- Use warm water and mild washing-up liquid.
- Choose a soft sponge, cloth or suitable bottle brush.
- Clean around threads, drinking openings and seals carefully.
- Rinse away all soap before use.
- Allow every part to air-dry fully before reassembly or storage.
Dishwasher Use
Care requirements may vary between products.
Only place a bottle or mug in the dishwasher where its individual product page or supplied instructions specifically describe it as dishwasher-safe.
Where dishwasher suitability is not stated, hand washing is recommended. High temperatures and strong detergents may gradually affect surface finishes, printed branding or decorative details.
Microwave Use
Never place metal bottles, metal components or metallic finishes in a microwave.
Only microwave a mug where the individual product information clearly states that it is microwave-safe. Where this is not confirmed, do not use it in a microwave.
Hot and Cold Drinks
Use each product only for the type of drink described on its product page.
Do not assume that every water bottle is suitable for hot liquids. A product intended for cold drinks should not be filled with boiling or very hot liquid.
When using a mug for a hot drink, take care before drinking and allow the contents to reach a comfortable temperature.
Avoid Sudden Temperature Changes
Rapid changes in temperature can place stress on drinkware materials.
Avoid pouring boiling liquid into a product that is extremely cold, placing hot drinkware directly onto a cold or wet surface, or moving a chilled product immediately into intense heat.
Allow the product to adjust gradually where possible.
Looking After Bottle Lids and Seals
Lids, drinking spouts and seals should be cleaned regularly, as small amounts of liquid can collect around them.
- Remove detachable seals only where they are designed to be removed.
- Wash each component separately.
- Check grooves and threads for residue.
- Allow all parts to dry fully before putting the lid back together.
- Make sure the lid is correctly fitted before carrying the bottle.
Do not force, stretch or cut a seal. A damaged or incorrectly fitted seal may affect how securely the lid closes.
Before Placing a Bottle in Your Bag
Always check that the cap or lid is fully tightened or closed before carrying your bottle.
Keep the bottle upright where practical, especially when it contains liquid. SORVANA cannot guarantee against leakage where a lid has not been fitted correctly, a seal is missing or the product has been damaged after delivery.
Removing Everyday Stains and Odours
Tea, coffee and flavoured drinks can leave residue or odour if allowed to remain inside drinkware for long periods.
For a deeper clean:
- Fill the product with warm water and a small amount of mild washing-up liquid.
- Leave it briefly before cleaning with a soft bottle brush or sponge.
- Rinse several times with clean water.
- Allow it to dry completely with the lid removed.
A small amount of bicarbonate of soda mixed with warm water may help with lingering odours. Rinse the product thoroughly afterwards.
Avoid bleach, abrasive powders, metal scourers and harsh cleaning chemicals unless the individual product instructions specifically permit them.
Protecting the Finish
To preserve the appearance of your SORVANA drinkware:
- Do not use rough scouring pads or sharp cleaning tools.
- Avoid contact with keys, metal utensils and other objects that may scratch the surface.
- Do not scrape or pick at printed branding.
- Keep the product away from direct flames and heated cooking surfaces.
- Avoid dropping or striking it against hard surfaces.
Minor marks may develop through normal use. These are considered ordinary wear rather than a manufacturing fault.
Storing Your Drinkware
Wash and dry the product thoroughly before storing it.
Store bottles with the lid removed or loosely fitted so that air can circulate. Do not leave liquid inside a bottle or mug for extended periods when it is not being used.
Keep drinkware in a clean, dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight and excessive heat.
When to Stop Using a Product
Stop using your bottle or mug if it becomes cracked, badly dented, chipped, warped or otherwise damaged in a way that may affect safe use.
Do not continue using a lid, seal or drinking component that is split, loose or no longer closes correctly.
